The Gentlemen's Club and You
Most guilds have some sort of charter, mission statement, objective, or whatever you would like to call such a thing. Before applying, it is good to know what you are getting yourself into, so that you have a general idea on if a particular group's goals match up/compliment your own. Hopefully, this will provide a good summary of what we are, and after reading you will know if we are a fitting group for you or not. This is an effort on our part to portray what we are, please remember to do the same when you let us know who you are when filling out your application. A poorly worded, incomplete, or vague response to questions that we have deemed important is not a good way to get considered.
Our Goals
In our purest form, GC is a hardest instance of the moment raiding guild. We are never content to sit back and farm up an instance when there are others to complete. We will continually push onward to the newest content presented to us, and press at it until we master the new challenges blizzard gives us.
Our Expectations of You
- As a member, you are expected to be prepared for raiding. This means:
- Being available Sunday through Friday, from 7:00pm-1:00AM+ CST
- Know your class inside and out, and also be able to analyze an encounters dynamics, and be able to provide helpful feedback when we are learning new content.
- Competent choices of equipment to fit your role in a raiding environment, and planning ahead for future encounters (heroics for resist gear, etc)
- Potions/Elixirs/Flasks/Food/ that compliment your character, we use farmable materials heavily, so be expected to gather up a nice supply on a regular basis and fund such an undertaking by yourself.
Listen to us.
Most of our members know each other by voice, start doing the same.
Take advice from other members.
Regardless of what you think, there is always someone better than you. If you are doing poorly in an encounter, don't get all bowed up and start blaming lag or any other thing you can think up just because someone gives you a suggestion to improve your performance. Your guild mates want you to play at a high skill level, so making suggestions is in their best interest, and the guild as a whole.
After a server lag out last week with a 14% attempt, finally got the bitches down. Congrats GC on a Horde server first.
